Tips
- Pick your grid company in Settings. Without it, the price leaves out the grid tariff (the app says so on the front screen).
- Enter your supplier's markup (tillæg) in øre per kWh without VAT. If your supplier quotes it with VAT, divide by 1.25.
- If a price looks wrong for your grid company, write and say which company and which hour – tariff codes sometimes change.
- Widgets: long-press the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit › Add Widget and choose Strømpris.
Questions
Which grid company do I have?
It's on your electricity bill, often next to "netabonnement" or "nettarif", and depends on where you live, not on who you buy power from. Radius covers most of Copenhagen and North Zealand, Cerius the rest of Zealand, N1 and Konstant much of Jutland.
Is the price exactly what I pay?
It's the price per kWh: spot price, your grid company's tariff for an ordinary home, Energinet's tariffs, the electricity tax, your supplier's markup if you enter it, and VAT. Fixed monthly subscriptions aren't included, because they don't depend on when you use power.
Why prices every 15 minutes?
Since October 2025 the day-ahead market sets a price for every quarter hour. Strømpris shows the quarters and the hourly average.
When do tomorrow's prices come?
Around 1 pm Danish time. Turn on the notification in Settings to hear when they're in, with the cheapest and dearest hours.
Does it work outside Denmark?
The app works anywhere, but the prices are for Denmark: east (DK2) and west (DK1) of the Great Belt.
What does the app fetch from the internet?
Only public data from Energinet's Energi Data Service: the spot prices for your area and the tariffs for your grid company. Nothing about you is sent.
